Truck drivers’ safety is in focus as a new secure parking facility for heavy vehicles opens at the Ollebo Terminal in Malmö this November.
The facility, with space for 35 trucks, is the result of a strategic collaboration between Drivers First, Venturi Fastigheter, and the Øresund Bridge.
The secure parking area has been designed to allow for future expansion in line with demand. The initiative is being carried out in close cooperation with the Øresund Bridge Consortium, which means that Øresund Bridge customers receive exclusive benefits: a 15% discount on parking, free Drivers First membership for the first year, and free parking during the opening week.
The new parking facility is equipped with showers, toilets, a driver’s lounge, camera surveillance, and the option to pre-book spaces digitally. This investment marks a significant improvement to Malmö’s infrastructure, where there has long been a shortage of safe parking options for heavy vehicles.
