In August, we took over the operation of the truck parking facility at Stormgatan 17 in Viared. The transformation is now complete – and the facility is open under the Drivers First concept.
Since then, we have worked in two phases to create a secure, modern, and service-oriented truck parking facility.
Phase 1 – Security First
The first step focused on strengthening the site’s security. We have upgraded the perimeter protection, installed fencing, and implemented 24/7 CCTV surveillance. The area is now fenced with controlled and gated access.
Phase 2 – Driver Facilities
Next, we focused on the driver experience. The existing building has been renovated and complemented with:
- New showers
- Refurbished toilets
- Sofa and TV
- Free WiFi
- Free coffee
A vending machine will also be installed shortly.
From Free to Secure – Still at a Low Price
During the transition period, parking was free of charge. The facility is now fully operational, with pricing from 9 SEK per hour – pay only for the time you park.
Booking is easy via out outdoor kiosk or QR code on site, through our website, or with a corporate account. You can also book through our partners TRAVIS and BOSCH.
More News This Autumn
The work continues. This autumn, we plan to add:
- Sleep cabins for longer rest
- Laundy machines
- Mobile workshops
- Charging infrastructure for electric trucks
