Drivers First continues its Nordic expansion – opens new secure parking facility in Värnamo
Drivers First is establishing a new facility in Värnamo, at the South Swedish crossroad. Later this year, the company will open a secure parking area with 67 spaces along the E4 – the next step in its long-term expansion toward becoming the Nordic region’s largest network of secure transport infrastructure.
An underinvested industry has created a system failure. Drivers are forced to work under conditions few other professions would accept – without clean toilets, showers, or safe places to rest. The result is high staff turnover and an acute driver shortage that threatens the entire transport industry.
“It’s undignified. It’s a system failure. Drivers First exists to do something about it. We are building a robust infrastructure system that puts the driver at the center. For a predictable, resilient transport industry of the future. Because when drivers feel good – all of Sweden feels good,” says Gustav Jacobsson, CEO of Drivers First.
“As a property owner, I see it as a given to contribute to solutions that strengthen Värnamo as a transport hub. Drivers who stop in Värnamo should feel welcome. That’s how we build a long-term sustainable business community,” says Hans Eriksson, CEO of RPZ Fastigheter, a locally owned company.
With the establishment in Värnamo, the company takes another step in its continued rollout of secure parking facilities at strategic locations in Sweden and the Nordics. The new parking area will become an important hub for transport along the E4 and strengthen the ability for both national and international heavy transport operators to plan their routes more efficiently and safely.
